Center Point Wedding

Center Point is a newly incorporated city and a former census-designated place in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 22,784. However, after its incorporation in 2002, the city's boundaries are much smaller than the census-designated place's were. As of the 2004 estimates, the population of the newly-created city is 15,130.

Center Point is located at 333821N, 864050W (33.639302, -86.680437)GR1. or about 12 miles NE of Birmingham.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 20.9 km (8.1 mi). 20.8 km (8.1 mi) of it is land and 0.1 km (0.04 mi) of it (0.25%) is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 22,784 people, 8,826 households, and 6,434 families residing in the community. The population density was 1,092.8/km (2,830.4/mi). There were 9,292 housing units at an average density of 445.7/km (1,154.3/mi). The racial makeup of the community was 72.90% White, 24.23% Black or African American, 0.28% Native American, 0.55% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.02% from other races, and 0.98% from two or more races. 2.23% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
